The Collections
The core of the Herbert and Trudl Zipper Archives is the personal collection of the Zippers. This includes papers, music manuscripts, photographs, scrapbooks, audio and visual recordings, art, posters, objects, and materials collected separately by Trudl Dubsky Zipper.

Papers
Correspondence, personal and work papers, newspapers and clippings, and ephemera related to the personal and professional activities of Herbert Zipper from 1922 to 1997.
Music Manuscripts
Original compositions by Herbert Zipper, arrangements/transcriptions by Herbert Zipper, and various scores collected by Herbert Zipper. These materials are dated from 1929 to 1995.
Photographs
Photographs (black-and-white and color) that depict the lives of Herbert and Trudl Zipper and the various locations they lived and worked in. This includes Austria, Manila, Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles, Asia, and some from their personal lives. These materials are dated from the 1920s to 1990s.
Scrapbooks
Scrapbooks that were gifted to or created by Herbert and Trudl Zipper. The pages contain materials like newspaper clippings, photographs, and concert programs that showcase their lives as artists and advocates of the arts. The scrapbooks have materials dated from 1915 to 1989.
Audio and Visual Recordings
Cassettes, audio reels, and a film reel collected by the Zippers. Of note are recordings of Dr. Zipper conducting the Manila Symphony Orchestra in various concerts between 1953-1977, recordings of original compositions by Dr. Zipper from the late 1980s-1995, and a film reel of Dr. Zipper conducting a school concert in 1954. These materials are dated from 1943-1996.
Art, Posters, and Objects
Works of art, posters for various performances, and objects like award plaques and textiles collected by Herbert and Trudl Zipper. These materials are dated from 1918 to 1992.
Trudl Dubsky Zipper
The Trudl Dubsky Zipper collection contains papers, photographs, and works of art collected by Trudl Dubsky Zipper. Of note are clippings, programs, and photographs from her early dance career with the Bodenwieser Group in the late 1920s-1930s and photographs of the Manila Ballet Moderne, that she founded, from the 1930s-1960s. These materials are dated from 1928 to 1972.
