Herbert Zipper: Homage to my Musical Ancestors (1984)

Dr. Zipper held an interest in the concept of ancestors. He always had an eye on the past and a concerned yet optimistic view of the future. In his acceptance speech for the Silangan Award in the Philippines, Dr. Zipper ended his acceptance speech by stating, “It is not enough just to be a good citizen. I call upon all, let us be good ancestors.” Through this piece, Dr. Zipper pays tribute to those who came before him.
